hey there…one of my really good friend’s family over here in tennesseehe was taking her sister to school(her sister is n 7th grade) and they were arguing about the socks that whitney was wearing…and so whitney stopped the car…took off her seat belt, gave the socks to her sister, and got back on the road(w/out putting her seat belt on…) she leand back to get something out of the back seat, and swerved into the other lane and hit a car head on. she was thrown out of the car, and she died on the way to the hospital. her sister is ok physically but emotionally…lets just say that it will take a long time..she died on tuesday 2/10/04…please just keep her and her family in your prayrs…i am having a really hard time getting over her sudden death…the last thing that i said to her, “was i will see ya tomorrow, and remember God loves you”…well, i am going to go now…please pray…love always,
Kristin’s first ambassdaor,
Valerie Roberson.

Sad news (Original poster: Shelly Lingo)I just got back from a weekend trip to Yuma and my travels took me past Kristin’s cross. That sure brought back a lot of memories; now I read about your sad news. Valerie, you have a special way of bringing comfort and tender words to those around you. I know that you will be a good friend to Whitney’s little sister and the family. There’s not always an answer to “Why”, so don’t look too hard for it… just remember “God Loves Us, and He doesn’t make mistakes.”I’ll be praying for you, Whitney’s family, and the family of the other car whom I’m sure has been traumatized by this whole incident as well.Shelly

Prayers for you (Original poster: Virginia Wiersma)Dear Valerie,We know the pain you and Whitney’s family are having only too well. My heart goes out to you and I will be praying for everyone that God will provide comfort to them. This is a poem I found after we lost Kristin, perhaps it will bring you some peace:THERE IS A REASON FOR EVERYTHINGOur Father knows what’s best for us, so why should we complain. We always want the sunshine, but He knows there must be rain.We love the sound of laughter, and the merriment of cheer, but our hearts would lose their tenderness if we never shed a tear. Our Father tests us often, with suffering and with sorrow. He tests us, not to punish us, but to help us meet tomorrow. For growing trees are strengthened when they withstand the storm, and the sharp cut of the chisel gives the marble grace and form.God never hurts us needlessly, and He never wastes our pain. For every loss He sends to us is followed by rich gain. And when we count the blessings that God has so freely sent,we will find no cause for murmuring, and no time to lament. For our Father loves His children, and to Him all things are plain,so He never sends us pleasures when the soul’s deep need is pain.So when we are troubled, and when everything goes wrong,it is just God working in us to make our spirit strong.(I do not know who the author is.)Love and prayers,Kristin’s Grandma Virginia
