Sunday we attended the Kids Unlimited production “Seasons of Love” Winter 2003. Amber and Cheyenne you were superb!
Everyone can be very proud of being part of the KU family. All your hard work was so worthwhile and gave enjoyment to so many.
Kristin you were there in the hearts and minds of those who love you. This memorial was printed in the program book:
In loving memory of our friend, classmate & teacher Kristin Kay Smith
Some People
Some people come into our lives and quickly go.
Some people move our souls to dance.
They awaken us to new understanding
with the passing whisper of their wisdom.
Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon.
They stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints on our hearts,
and we are never, ever the same.
Kristin was a dedicated member of KU for almost 10 years of her life of 14 years. The first time we presented “Seasons of Love” three years ago was her last big production with us. We miss her more than we can express. Many of the numbers in this show remind us of her. The last piece she choreographed for KU was “You’ll be in My Heart” featured in Act I. We have kept the choreography the same in honor of her. In Act II, she was a featured dancer in “Autumn Leaves.” Our K* class honors her still by having the courage to perform this number without her. Please applaud a little louder so she will hear you in heaven.
(We would like to know who wrote “Some People.”)
Our love,
Grandma and Grandpa
Dance Performance (Original poster: Virginia Wiersma)You were so graceful, we enjoyed your performance very much. I had just watched the 2000 Show and could see how much you have developed your talent of dance. Keep focused on your dreams. In Kristin’s words, “You were awesome!”Love,Virginia
Autumn Leaves (Original poster: La Tosha Lyn Evans)Hey I just wanted to said that it was really special to me to do Autumn Leaves again. At first I didnt want to do it b/c i thought i wouldnt be able to make it though without crying. But then i thought well Kristin would not want me to not do it. So I did. It was hard, I had her on my mind the whole time. When I looked over i even saw her dancing there beside me. I felt very claming. I want to thank Carol for keeping the dance the same. Love you all- LaLA
