Happy Birthday! (Original poster: Amy Oldham) October 1, 2008

I was a freshman away at college the year that Kristin was born. I remember I was so excited
to meet her but I had to wait until Christmas. It seemed like forever!

It’s hard to believe it has been 22 years since that day. The time has flown by. My hope is
that the time between now and when I see Kristin again in heaven will fly by just as quickly.
Praise God for His promise of eternity with Him for all who believe!

Happy Birthday to you… (Original poster: Haley Henning)

Kristin,

I think about you all the time and miss you so much… especially on days like this. Caleb sees your picture and points to it and says “That’s Kristin!” You would love him and he would have so much fun with you! He is awesome at singing the Birthday song… We will sing it especially for you today 🙂

We love you,
Haley and Caleb

Kristin, it is hard to believe it has been 22 years since the happy day you were born. You and Abby are always in my thoughts. This year has been very busy starting in January when Rich and Laura had adorable baby Lucas. In July Amy, C. R., Josiah, Daniel and Ellie moved to Layton, Utah and started a chapter of HopeKids. They will be offering hope to children with life-threatening illness, and providing support and encouragement to the children and their families. Because of Abby we know how very important that is.
Taryn, Amber and Cheyenne, you are in our prayers.

Love,
Grandma and Grandpa

Beautiful Websit (Original poster: Dena Tinsley) December 10, 2007

Kristin,
What a beautiful girl you are and what a wonderful website your family has done for you. A candle was lit last night in your memory. I met your Mom and Sister and they are, clearly, so proud of you as they should be. There is no greater loss than losing a child. It’s a heartache so deep that neither words nor tears can truly express it. My appreciation for people has grown immeasurably since my son’s death, though I have never felt more inadequate and vulnerable. My hope is that these tragedies reminds us all to treat others with respect and compassion, to deeply appreciate the good people in our lives whether they be family, friends, loved ones or just acquaintances, to live life to the fullest, to laugh and enjoy the moment, to love deeply and to live life with integrity and grace. Best to your family during the Holidays. -Dena

Krissy-I can’t believe it’s been seven years, it feels like just yesterday that we were doing a puzzle together in AB or playing cards together. I miss you more than you know and you’re always in my thoughts. I can’t believe your 21st Birthday was yesterday! It doesn’t seem too long ago that everyone was a fresh teenager. Take care and know that no one’s forgotten about you and no one ever will.

I forget a lot of birthdays, but never October 1st. It was always such a special, fun-filled time especially when the kids were young. I think of all of you who visit this site and hope for God’s special blessings on you today. Kristin, you hold a special place in my heart… until we meet again.

October 1, 1986. What a happy day it was when we welcomed Kristin into our family!

Taryn, Amber, Cheyenne, and all our family, this morning dad and I were discussing some of the wonderful times we have all shared and what a blessing you are to us. We talked about how God has blessed our family through the years and given us comfort and hope in very difficult times, such as the loss of Kristin, Abby, and other loved ones. You are in our thoughts and prayers today and every day.

In Kristin’s own words, “Remember, God is with you, forever.”

Love,
Dad & Mom
